Talking About Welding Equipment and Techniques

Hi there. I’m Nina. Welcome to my website about welding. The process of welding together metal takes a lot more than a hot iron and some metal wire. There are many different machines and practices people use to carefully and skillfully weld together metal. With the right techniques, you can create truly beautiful welds that hold up to the test of time. The strong metal welds are often stronger than the two metal pieces they join together. I would like to use this site to talk about the different types of welding equipment, techniques and safety gear used for this exciting industry. Thanks for visiting.

3 Pieces Of Equipment To Rent To Speed Up A Commercial Exterior Painting Job

by Matias Keranen

As the owner of a professional painting business, you will be faced with all kinds of tasks. From painting the interior of a home to painting commercial buildings, your job is to make sure customers are delivered a job well done in rapid time. However, when you are faced with an exterior commercial painting project, it will be more important than ever to get the task completed as quickly and as efficiently as possible. It is sometimes necessary, with these projects, to come up with a plan to speed up the process using different equipment. Here is a look at three pieces of equipment to pick up at the local contractor equipment rental store to help things along.

Light Tower - Painting the exterior of a commercial building may mean you are left doing most of the work after business hours so you don't get in the way of customers. Painting after hours in the dark is simply out of the question, but what you can do is rent light towers to give you illumination after the sun goes down so you can keep painting into the night. Light towers are large industrial light systems that have lights that can be extended to distribute illumination across a wide area in the dark. These light towers can be maneuvered into place at the job site as you work.

Scissor Lifts - When time is valuable, you don't want employees having to set up and rearrange scaffolding and ladders outside of a commercial building to reach all of the necessary places for painting. A scissor lift is a much more time-efficient way for painters to get to all those hard-to-reach spaces on the outside of a building. These lifts are driveable from the platform itself, which means when they are done painting one area, they can simply drive the lift to the next location for painting.

Air Compressor - Spraying paint in place when time is of the essence is a much better idea than applying it with a roller or brush. However, a large-scale exterior painting project will require the use of an industrial paint system if you decide to spray the paint on. These industrial paint systems most often need compressed air to deliver a steady stream of paint. Thankfully, you can rent industrial air compressors that are capable of providing you with continuous compressed air specifically useful for this kind of application.
